Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket

Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket Oxide Red Sm

A fully recycled polyester ripstop shell with a DWR finish creates the perfect atmosphere for your body while blocking just about any kind of weather. The Down Sweater Jacket is one of Patagonia‘s most popular models for good reason, renowned for its 800-fill Power Traceable Down that’ll keep you cozy and warm all winter long. Packable into a stuff sack when the weather gets warm, this durable jacket has the versatility and reliability to accompany you on any adventure when the forecast looks grim.

My Opinion:

This is one of my favorite jackets by Patagonia. Although, I’m personally more of a hood guy when I’m on the trails. I’d just rather have a hood for those windy days or frigid nights. The hoodless version is perfect as a non-bulky mid-layer or for a night on the town.

Patagonia Down Sweater Hoody

Patagonia Down Sweater Hoody Forge Grey Xl

When the thermometer takes a nosedive, reach for your Patagonia Down Sweater Hoody. Lightweight and windproof, this powerful piece is crafted from 100% recycled polyester and stuffed with 800-fill down. The water-resistant shell shrugs off moisture while the adjustable hood wards off extra gnarly conditions, which makes this piece perfect for any cold weather adventures. The pockets are where the real magic happens. A pair of handwarmer pockets thaw out your chilly paws while the zippered chest pocket turns into a stuff sack when the weather gets warm. Be ready for whatever Mother Nature throws your way with the Patagonia Down Sweater Hoody.

My Opinion:

This is my go-to on most of my adventures. As I mentioned earlier, I’m personally more of a hood guy, so I enjoy the extra protection/coziness when I need it. I’d rather have it and not need it than vise versa. Plus, when I don’t need it at night, it’s the perfect pillow while camping, or even on long drives or plane rides. I always stuff this one in the backpack.

Patagonia Down Sweater Vest

Patagonia Down Sweater Vest Tasmanian Teal Md

The Patagonia Down Sweater Vest is made from one hundred percent traceable 800 fill goose down, so you know exactly where the feathers in your vest came from. Fully recycled polyester makes up the majority of the vest while the elastic cuffs on the arms makes layering a snap while keeping warmth in. Rugged nature yet sophisticated in appearance, this versatile vest is suitable for any occasion when the forecast is looking unpredictable. Throw on the Down Sweater Vest and take to the outdoors in confidence, all season long.

My Opinion:

You can’t go wrong with a good vest in the closet. Sometimes, a full jacket may be a bit overkill, especially in spring and fall. But even in the winter the Patagonia Down Sweater Vest makes a great piece to your layering system. It’s also just a nice piece for those chilly nights out on the town or hanging out at camp.

My Opinion:

Well, if you’re familiar with down, you know that once it gets wet it’s pretty much useless. Well with the Marmot Avant Featherless Hoody you will not have to worry about that problem. I find it useful having at least some type of option in my closet between down and synthetic. You never know what nature will decide to throw at you on your next adventure.
